This past weekend the 3 of us had a nice quiet weekend. Jeff and I enjoyed some running and Jeff got back on his bike for a spin. The weather was wonderful. Most importantly, LSU continued their fantastic football season. We all watched the game and Champ learned that quiet sleep in his mother's arms during a football game is not possible.
Yesterday, Jeff returned to work. Champ and I ran around Rice. I learned a lesson. Jeff had pushed the BOB during all of our family runs. Monday was my first experience. I now have a lot more respect for runners with jogging strollers. It was more difficult than I expected. My pace was a great deal slower, but we made it. The weather was again wonderful.

Just think of it as built in resistance training.
There's a guy who does a lot of races in Austin, pushing his three kids in an enormous BOB-style stroller. They are getting sort of older too, so he's pushing some decent size kids around (they are old enough to tell him to speed up!). He's not the fastest person when he's with the kids, but not slow either--We call him Super Dad.
I saw him running without them one day--that guy was fast!
That is what I am afraid of. Jeff is keeping up with me pushing the stroller. I will be eating his dust if we don't take Champ with us. -anna
